Eth6 is an annual collaborative publication between Artists, Social Workers and Journalists to cover stories that otherwise remain invisible in mainstream media. Eth6 couples the insight of those working in the front lines of social service with the narrative skills of journalists to create "unbroken" news. The artwork plays an integral role in balancing the heavy editorial content and providing another entry point of resonance with a general audience. Eth6 operates upon the principle that social justice cannot be realized if there is no public awareness. For this issue we have produced fifteen phenomenal stories that include researching alternatives to the criminal justice system, the community response to gang violence in San Francisco's churches, the ethical choices of caring for those who do not care for themselves on the street and many more. With over a dozen artists and photographers the issue presents thoughtful responses to these complex topics.Come celebrate the very first release of this issue with the rhythm masters official tourist and alex pasternak, ( and special guests) dance, peruse pages, enjoy!
(stay tuned for the east bay launch party and art show at blank space gallery)

come out!!!
We are pleased as punch to invite you to a one night only outdoor art installation in concert with the infamously rowdy Oakland Art Murmur Friday.
(A)damn and E.v.e., artistic collaborators for the past three years, will construct an ethereal sculpture that literally levitates above the dirty summer streets to remind us to cast our gaze towards the sky and realize that occasionally we are beneath the rainbow. Our airy sculpture will serve as an altar to the beauty of the present moment while casting our wishes and prayers to the wind. Please come join us from 5 to 9pm between Johansson Projects and Rock Paper Scissors above 23rd Street and Telegraph Avenue Oakland, CA.

+++apocalypse preview+++
from the fog to the smoke.
tried to go camping, got smoked out because the state of california is on fire. took refuge in the ultra fancy pants benbow inn, checked in just in time for tea and scones. in place of the television was a free bottle of port.
fair enough.
first, thick fog going over the golden gate.as soon as we cleared the bridge, it was smoke all the way. we drove about 4 hours north of san francisco and never cleared the smoke. seemed like a glimpse into a possible unfortunate future...

wildfires give you a red sun that doesn't hurt your eyes to look at.
the arched bridge over the eel river has an incredible echo to play with.
